BLURB: Be careful what you wish for…
Nate has been in love with Quinn, his brother’s best friend, for as long as he can remember. But when he finally gets the chance to show Quinn how he feels, his heart gets broken in the most unexpected way.
Second chances come when you least expect them…
Quinn doesn’t believe in miracles, especially not Christmas ones. When he decides to win Nate back he knows it won’t be easy. The last thing he expects is a health scare, a road trip and a vicious snow storm to work in his favor.
In the end, a cabin in the woods turns out to be not only the shelter they desperately need, but also Quinn’s very own Christmas miracle.
Sometimes, to forgive, you need to get snowed in…
Nate has been in love with his brother’s best friend for what feels like forever! He’s decided enough is enough and now is the time to do something about it – if it’s a total disaster? He’ll just move on.
It goes much better than Nate ever dreamed possible and he spends the night (one incredible hot night) in the arms of the man he loves. However, when morning arrives, he finds a note but no Quinn…he’s left!
He’s devastated, it’s like someone has stabbed his heart and now feels so bitter, so much so, he decides to move on and go to California, he’s going to start a new life and move forward, he’s wasted so much time already.
Two years have passed, Christmas is fast approaching and he’s going home, never expecting in his wildest dreams to see Quinn again.
Quinn wants to apologise and ask for another chance? But Nate’s hurt goes deep and it’s not that easy to just forget and forgive – and how can we blame him for that?
However, this is a Christmas love story. A long journey home and one snow storm can change everything and it did!
This is a first time read of Teodora Kustova for me and I can assure you that it won’t be my last, I really enjoyed her writing style. Though the story itself was short, I wasn’t disappointed, it’s full of feeling, not just love and lust but hunger and hurt as well, all the ingredients of a great Christmas read. The author focus’s on Nate and Quinn, their story, their love, so their really isn’t any focus on any other character(s), it’s all them!
A great seasonal read to get me in the mood for the approaching season, just the right amount of angst to keep it interesting and an Amazing cover, which is how I like my books.
4.5 big round snowball stars from me.
****I would like to thank the author for the opportunity and privilege of reviewing this ARC. My opinions of this book, were entirely my own.****
