RELEASE DATE: 26th January 2016
BLURB: Adam Chambers has never seen eye-to-eye with his father and is reluctant to take over the family’s property-development company. To clear his head and work out what he wants to do with the rest of his life, Adam leaves his responsibilities in the city and heads out to see the country.
He isn’t much closer to deciding what to do with his life when he arrives at one of Australia’s largest events, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and meets Joey Callaway.
Since Joey’s father’s tragic death left Joey the family’s debt-ridden pub, Joey has struggled, desperate to turn the business around and give his mum the life she deserves. A break away from the pressures of running the pub is just what he needs, and a hook-up with Adam is the perfect way to forget about his troubles.
The one-night stand might just be an opening act. If Adam and Joey can follow the music in their hearts, perhaps they can heal each other and create a melody that will last a lifetime.
One more to my reread list… This book took me to my happy place and gave me a few hours of absolute reading bliss. After a few pages I realized I was smiling, and except a few concerned frowns I had a permanent smile on my face throughout the whole story.
Joey and Adam are GOOD people. These two young men come from different backgrounds, having different family issues, and both of them are warm-hearted, kind, but insecure about their future for various reasons. They are portrayed perfectly, and I fell in love with both of them. Getting to know my MCs is very important to me and I enjoyed the way their characters and personalities are revealed through their interactions with their family members and friends.
I truly enjoyed the structure of the story, and the way Adam and Joey’s feelings and relationship are building. The plot has a natural flow and the perfect balance with the best amount of eventful, sweet, sensual, and heartwarming. Their chemistry is palpable, their sensual scenes together very well-written and truly hot. There’s minimal angst, which I love. The intentions are clear with no unnecessary conflicts or miscommunication.
Rustic Melody is a perfectly written love story with two lovable MCs who are trying to find a way to make their future work together. I loved every page of it and couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended! I am also looking forward to the next book in the series…
