BLURB: Charles Fordham III has been expelled from Oxford and sent home with his tail between his legs. The self-professed “brat” has always gotten away with things because of his father’s influence and money. Poor Chas is in for the surprise of his life in the form of a tall, well-muscled, former Marine bodyguard… but even more daunting days may lie ahead. Have his years abroad prepared him for the expectations of his father when he’s forced to live up to his legacy?
Tate Heston returns home from Iraq when his beloved career is cut short by an IED. He’s used to turning boys into men and then leading them into battle where sometimes the good guys lose. This makes him even more hesitant about taking on a job guarding a spoiled brat, but he believes he can probably do what he does best… make young Chas a man.
Not everyone wants to see the brat succeed in his father’s place. Things have been running just fine for years and the return of Charles Fordham III and the shake up his arrival causes, has his family’s enemies in a panic. But as the boy assumes his rightful place, Tate understands sometimes a man must take his fight to the enemy… regardless of battlefield… or boardroom.
Charles Fordham III, heir to a fortune, has been sent home in disgrace. Why does everyone always believe the worst and never the good? will he ever find someone (apart from his gran) that will?
She’s gone and done it again….another winner on her hands! This lady never ceases to amaze me, she always delivers something that little bit special and this was special.
The Brat being the title, should give it away as to what this book is about, but does it? Not by a long shot, so much lies beneath that beautiful body of Charles Fordham and Tate Heston (his bodyguard) intends to unwrap him and find out exactly who the real Charles “Chas” Fordham III really is. Ok, at first he’s like a child on Christmas morning, he knows what he wants, is he going to get it? He can’t be slow at finding out, he unwraps at record speed, but later and much slower, he learns to appreciate the gift he has been given. And Chas, is a gift, a precious gift that Tate intends to take very good care of, because dangerous trouble is brewing! Together, they take on Chas’s father, boardroom corruption, shattering betrayal, which all adds up to an intriguing and very engrossing storyline – I loved it!
The sex scenes whether fast and furious or slow and sensual were a delight to read and so very hot! a cooling off period is recommended, lol.
The author loves her Brats and she does them so well. I once named her “Queen of BDSM”
And I stand by that but “Queen of Bratty Brats” would be a crown that she could equally wear as well.
Like most of Patricia Logan books, though part of a series, it can be read very successfully as a stand alone, MCs from previous books are featured but this only enhances the story for the well-seasoned Ms Logan followers but is also a great enticement for new readers to read their stories, so it’s a win/win.
Highly, highly recommended.
5 big brat stars from me.
****I would like to thank the author for the opportunity and privilege of reviewing this ARC. My opinions of this book, were entirely my own.****
