BLURB: Gunther Duchene, aka “Gunny”, and Macalister Jones, aka “Mac”, have overcome the obstacles of coming out and retiring after serving more than twenty years as Marines. Their exit ceremony is behind them, their wedding vows are made, and now it’s time for the honeymoon. What better way to kick off their marriage than enjoying the retirement gift Mac gave Gunny? With the leather pants and collar packed, it’s off to New York City and the Guards of Folsom club to celebrate—BDSM style.

11910609_10200825378993082_554788686_nThis book is an absolute delight. It is an enjoyable, hot and fun short story, which actually is a crossover. We get to meet two retired military men, Mac and Gunny, who are introduced in their own book, Beyond Duty. For those who have read this book it’s a great way to see their favorite characters having an amazing BDSM adventure in New York City. For those who have not, like me, it’s a wonderful pleasure to meet a fantastic couple and get them introduced into the world of our beloved club, the Guards of Folsom. I already one-clicked and cannot wait to read the original story, getting to know Mac and Gunny a bit better.

I truly enjoy reading about well-established couples, so I was in for a special treat as our guys have been together more than twenty years. Mac and Gunny are both retired Marines and their love and affection towards each other is clearly palpable. They have an amazing chemistry, and their easy, fun banter gives an extra layer of intimacy to the story.

The writing is flawless as usual with some hot and fun moments at equal measures. This couple fits perfectly in the BDSM family of the club, although their unit is best working on its own. I really enjoyed every page of this book and I think it’s a great read for everyone, even if you haven’t read any of the previous stories. Highly recommended!
