BLURB: In a future where man’s ability to reproduce is severely compromised, humanity has adapted to survive. Breeders—male and female—have become precious commodities, and they are strictly guarded and subject to limitations.
Luca Walker is a breeder. Though he knows what’s expected of him as the youngest son of the Northern Confederacy’s Vice President, he’s held out against the pressures of an arranged marriage because he longs to marry for love, not duty. But he’s been promised to Colonel Liam Smith and there’s little he can do about it, no matter that Luca is secretly in love with his bodyguard, Marcus Gray.
When Luca finds himself pregnant with Marcus’s baby, Smith is furious and vows to take what is his—by force, if necessary. Now Luca must fight for his life and the life of his unborn child… as well as the love of Marcus and the happily ever after he’s always dreamed of.

This is my first venture into the mpreg market and I really liked it.
The first thing that caught my eyes was the wonderful cover, then I was captivated by the story.
The author did a great job of describing the devastation of the world in which the story takes place.
The story takes place 200 years after World War 3. Chemical and biological weapons nearly destroyed the world, the population was nearly decimated and things changed.  Breeders, both male and female, are now the most important resource.
Society changed also, it’s now divided in 2 parts – The Northern Confederacy and the Southern Union (this greatly reminded me of Germany’s now extinct, East/West divide)
The Northern Confederacy is buoyant and healthy because breeders are respected and treated as the valuable resource that they are – they are the most important thing. On the other hand, The Southern Union, oppresses it’s people, especially the breeders, they carry out terrible experiments on them.
Luca is the younger son of the Vice President of the Northern Confederacy. For years he refused all the possible arranged marriages, but now he has run out of time and can’t refuse anymore….he has to marry Colonel Liam Smith, even if he is in love with his bodyguard Marcus Gray.
Out of the blue he find out he is pregnant and not only that, but the father of his son his Marcus! How can that be possibly be possible?  To find out how possible that is, you will have to read it yourselves, but I will say this, with Nicholas (Luca’s dad) anything and everything is possible!
But this is just the start of Luca’s problems, it’s not going to be easy protecting his baby and the man he loves, Marcus.
Not only did I like the storyline itself, I liked the characters also. Luca and Marcus’s story was really sweet but I also adored Gregory and Nicholas – Luca’s dad’s.  Gregory and Nicholas enriched the storyline so much, especially with the humour, it was so funny to read and I loved it!
There are a lot of feelings and action involved and I was glued to the pages.
