BLURB:  It’s time to come home, Finn.

It’s been seven years since Daniel Finley left his hometown in Florida for the hustle and bustle of Chicago’s city life.
Since then, he’s worked hard for his position at the prestigious law firm Leighton & Associates, even when it’s caused distance and isolation from his family and friends. But that’s all about to change.

On his thirtieth birthday, he receives the one thing he never dared hope for. Something that was promised to him years earlier—a note. One simple sentence from the man he’s never been able to forget.

Six words will forever change the course of their lives.

Brantley Hayes has it all. Or so he thinks. When he first made the decision to take a job down in Florida, his family thought he was crazy. But, after years of living in the quiet beach town, he finally feels a sense of community. He’s surrounded himself with friends who are like family, has a job he loves, and owns a spectacular beachfront property that is his sanctuary.

Yet he still feels unfulfilled, as if a piece of the puzzle is missing, and he knows exactly which piece it is. On an impulse, he follows through with a promise he made years earlier. A promise to call home the one he sent away.

Nothing is as simple as it seems.

After years of separation, the former lovers are reunited, but Brantley wasn’t expecting to encounter the high walls now guarding Daniel’s heart.
Daniel may not be the same person he was when he left, but he knows that the first step to healing is the note in his hand.

OMG this story was just so good!!!
This new series is a spinoff from the Temptation Series, so you must erase all those super delicious memories from that one, to really appreciate the new deliciousness that Ella Frank has created in this one – I know it’s going to be hard, but trust me when I say it’s going to be worth it. Logan and Tate were special and will always be remembered but you’ve now got to new MCs to concentrate on and these two are going to be special too.
This story is about Daniel Finley and Brantley Hayes, the two new MCs of this book and they deserve your full attention.
Their love story first began when Daniel “Finn” was a student of Professor Hayes. Finn wanted his Professor and did everything possible to make sure he got him.  And his tenacity certainly paid off!  However, Brantley knows the best possible course for Finn’s future, would be for him at attend a Law School in Chicago – far away from their life in Florida where they live.
Finn is full of anger, but channels this into becoming one of the best attorneys in Chicago (you may remember that he was Tate’s attorney in Trust?). On his 30th birthday, he receives a simple message from Brantley, all it says is “it’s time to come home, Finn”.
The author then retraces their love story from the beginning, sharing memories from that time and bringing them into their present timeline.
Can they overcome the resentment and regrets to be together again or has too much time passed?
This is a very emotional journey. The physical and emotional tension between this two man is so strong and palpable, it glues you to the pages, I didn’t want to put it down, it was everything I wanted and so much more, I loved it.
The author did an amazing job, it was brilliant and a fantastic start to a new series. I seriously cannot wait for the next book, it’s going to be Jordan and David’s story and that is another couple that is crying out to be read.
5 #TeamFinn stars from me
