Hunter Donovan, Assistant State Attorney, is a man of justice who loves a challenge. After a lifetime of putting his career first, a milestone brings him to a harsh realization—he’s lonely.

Hunter’s world changes when he meets Cam. The wary young man intrigues him and awakens a desire unlike anything he’s ever experienced. When Cam’s past resurfaces and threatens to rip them apart, their budding relationship is challenged and Cam’s hope for a future begins to dim.

These outside forces hunting Cam will stop at nothing to send him back to prison. But they’ll have to get past Hunter first.

12833361_10205887579250242_1339245014_nWhat an exciting ride. I was glued to my Kindle till the last page. Although A Hunted Man is the second book in The Men of Halfway House series, it can totally be enjoyed as a standalone. I liked the first book, and was glad to see Matt and Julian again, but Jaime Reese put their writing to a whole new level. This book is simply (as a good friend of mine said) unputdownable… The storyline is just so good, the plot so exciting and gripping that you won’t want to stop reading. This is a typical just-one-more-chapter kind of story.

Cameron and Hunter’s love story is woven together with some mystery and suspense in connection with Cam’s past, which keeps you at the edge of your seat till the end. The writing is flawless with perfect pace, exciting and unexpected events. The chemistry between Cam and Hunter is very well written. They are hot and sweet, and have fun, sexy and sensual scenes together. However, there are some sex scenes that are a bit too long, unrealistic and overly emotional at times. Cam and Hunter’s deepening relationship gives the core of the book completed with the investigating storyline I enjoyed very much. The new secondary characters who are introduced to us are very intriguing and I can’t wait to read their stories in the future.

This is an entertaining, very exciting and heartwarming story. Highly recommended!
