BLURB: Is beauty only skin deep?
Chemist Dr. Robert “Belle” Belleterre loves flowers, green trees, his best friend Judy, and “his baby:” the new face cream he developed to help put his father’s small cosmetics company on the map. Sadly he gets no help from his alcoholic, gambling-addicted father, who loses Belle in a poker game to Magnus Strong, the CEO of Beauty, Inc., the largest American cosmetics company—a man infamous for his scarred ugliness.
Belle finds himself uprooted from his home, living in a wildly crazy apartment in New York owned by Mr. Pennymaker, and completely unprepared for his mad attraction to the charismatic Strong. Feeling like a traitor, Belle fights his passion, only to see more and more of the goodness and humility hidden by Strong’s ugly face. But when Belle’s family starts manipulating his life again, the odds turn against happiness for beautiful Belle and his beloved beast.
He may not be beautiful, but he added beauty to the world
I’ve always thought Tara Lain to be somewhat of a magician, her books are pure magic. She waves that magic wand of hers and produces wondrous illusions, you leave the harsh realities of the world behind you and lose yourself in the magic she creates.
Beauty Inc. is a Beauty and Beast storyline with a unique Tara Lain spin on it, I loved it.
Belle Belleterre, the beautiful Chemist, works for his family’s cosmetics company. His drunken/gambling father loses Belle in a poker game and Belle is now having to work for Beauty Inc. and Magnus Strong aka The Beast.
Belle resents his family “whoring him out”, especially as he’s on the verge of a major breakthrough, that will set the Cosmetic Industry alight. He’s also resentful towards Magnus Strong but admits that he’s sexually attracted to him. To Belle, Magnus’s scars only add to the attraction!
Magnus was smitten from the very first time he saw Belle, but because of his wealth, the way people look at him due to his scarred face, he doesn’t believe that beautiful Belle wants him, he thinks he’s honouring his “obligations”. But he underestimated Belle’s tenacity, Belle wants Magnus and he’s going to get him!
I loved Belle, I loved Mr. Pennymaker, Leroy and of course Judy, but for me, Magnus Strong stole the show. He may not be beautiful on the outside, his beauty shone from within – Ms Lain, you created an amazing character, if only the real world had a Magnus Strong…..
So much so, I’ve decided to send my CV to Beauty Inc. (lol)
This was a sexy romance that will appeal to every romance reader out there, get it!
Five beautifully scarred stars from me.
****I would like to thank you the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book****
