BLURB: — You always want what you can’t have. —
David. Catholic. Gay. Set on keeping his purity ring.
Raja. Biker. Manwhore. Never refuses a bet.
David has always tried to be the best son his parents could dream of.
Always at church on Sunday.
Always eager to help with the garden.
Always trying his best at school.
Prim, proper, innocent, and kind.
But deep inside of him, there is a yearning planted by the devil himself, and when a cocky, foul-mouthed biker pulls him a step too far, David doesn’t fall into the abyss. He leaps.
Raja is all he’s ever dreamed of, yet didn’t dare voice. Older, dangerous, a wall of muscle with a grip so strong David can’t resist him no matter how hard he tries.
As a freshly appointed president of a motorcycle club on the verge of ruin, Raja has a lot to live up to. Being gay doesn’t do him any favors in terms of commanding the respect of his men. He has his way of compensating though.
Always first in a fight.
Always bragging about his sexual conquests.
Always up for a bet.
Daring, tattooed, sexy, and unapologetic.
After he boasts he can have any man he wants, he gets challenged to hook up with the preppy guy wallflowering at a party. Raja can’t wait to pop the innocent cutie’s cherry. But when he finds out the guy is his friend’s younger brother, life gets a whole lot messier.
Why is the one guy who should be off-limits always the most tempting?
When I open a K.A. Merikan book for the very first time, I always it’s the equivalent of opening Pandora’s Box, you never know what you are going to open yourselves too. You know it’s not going to be evil but tons of sexy goodness and in this case, tons of fluffy sexy goodness!
Yep, K.A. Merikan has gone and done “fluffy”. Well……fluffy with their own spin on fluffiness – sexy, dirty-talking raw passion, violence, shady dealings, ManWhore vs Virgin seduction, religious brainwashing, douche-bag Catholic priest, all wrapped up in one big ball of fluffiness.
David’s and Raja’s love journey started on a bet, one that Raja is determined to win, or maybe not?
David, my little virgin sweetie, I got you, I really did. I understood your hesitation, your confusion, your anxieties and your questioning. Your metamorphosis transformation from chrysalis to butterfly was stunning. I understand why Raja fell in love with you at first sight.
And Raja? It was love at first sight, you might not have known then, but I did, that sweet, Catholic boy had you wrapped round his finger (much like his Purity Ring) long before you realised it.
But what really appealed to me on so many levels, was the honesty in which these authors delivered this storyline. It felt so real, I could see it happening and indeed, I’m sad to say, it does. This Religious Brainwashing is something that needs addressing, so well done authors for tackling such a sensitive subject.
But that’s not all, we were treated to Asteroth and Hunter plus their little bundle of Goth joy, Tooth and Lucky (sigh) and club politics. Raja is now the President of the Coffin Nails MC in Toledo and he’s determined to put them on the map and we all know that politics whether it be Political or Club Politics is a dirty game…..but he’s determined that his sweet but now, foul-mouthed-in-the-making David (he had a fantastic teacher in Raja) is coming out clean, no dirt is going to stick to him, Raja definitely, but no dirt. But can Raja deliver on this?
As I said at the beginning, they put their own spin of fluffiness on it and I loved it. Certainly not as dark as some of their books, but definitely filthy, dirty talking and so sexy.
Five glorious, ripped fluffy stars from me.
*** I would like to thank the authors for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book ***
