BLURB:  The Winter Circle is on the rise and the most desperate hour for humankind is at hand. Working from the shadows, the dark god Anubis, jealous enemy of the goddess Sirius, is setting years’ long plans in motion, a master scheme that will strike home in the heart of Jefferson Pack.

Nate is a survivor. He survived rejection by his father and his pack when he was a child. He survived being alone, kidnapped, starved, and tortured. But the more he recovers, the more he realizes he seems to be developing abilities that surpass those of the Supreme Alphas.

More than that, though, he can’t move past the scar of knowing he was responsible for killing Darric, even though the Alpha was resurrected by Orion and Nate was forgiven; he can’t let go of his fear that there is something terrible hiding in the many holes in the memories of his childhood.

The Winter Circle strikes, and there is a traitor within the pack, one who means to see the end of all hybrids, including Nate and Kellan’s pups.

But as all hell breaks loose Nate’s greatest fear is not the danger that surrounds him, it’s the danger that hides within him. When Nate’s finds out his true purpose, and terrible secrets are revealed, will love triumph over evil? Or will the secret that Nate carries just be the death of them all?

Boom! Boom!  Kaboom!  Boom!  Do you hear that? THAT is the sound of all the bombshells the author dropped on us, in this the most amazing book of the series so far.  She dropped one bombshell after another, some ricocheting with far reaching consequences.
I was held spellbound, riveted to my seat, wondering where Victoria Sue was going?  What new revelations she was going to unleash upon us?  and would my heart still beat at the end of the journey?
From book 1, The Sirius Wolves have held me captivated. This is a complicated series with lots of characters, each having a story to be told.  Heart stopping moments happen frequently and we were given plenty of those!  I jumped in and never looked back.
The whole series is 5* material, this one I would give more if I could. It was just so polished, the author did a fantastic job of keeping a very complicated storyline, untangled, it could have so easily have become a knotted mess (but no knotting in this series, lol).  It was well thought out, you could feel the love Marcus has for his mates jumping off the page at you and his protectiveness of his Pack was second to none, except for his protectiveness towards his unborn children – for them he would lay down his life to ensure their safety.
Now I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but we learn the devastating facts of Nate’s childhood, which is really the centre of this storyline, all those little pieces of puzzle coming together to make the picture complete.  Even with everything going on, we were still treated to some seductive sexy-times, so get those fans at hand and those sighs ready, you will need them –

“I love you whole, I love you broken. Anyway I can have you”

sigh worthy or what? Oh, Marcus, you really are perfect…..
So many questions answered and a sacrifice, a very unexpected sacrifice, which I certainly didn’t see coming. I almost felt sorry but then remembered what the bastard did…….
No question about it, we have to have a book 7, there is still so much mileage left in this series and what about Jed? Surely he deserves his own story and let’s not forget Anubis, I don’t believe for one second that he is ready to give up?
Cannot recommend it enough, it was brilliant and utter compulsive reading, but I strongly suggest that you read this series in order to get full benefit.

Five boom, boom, kaboom boom stars from me.
