BLURB: This book is part of a series about a single couple, which needs to be read in order.
— The ugliest truths blossom into the prettiest lies. —
A year into the relationship with Domenico, Seth still wants him as desperately as ever. Nothing is better than being intoxicated with lust for his deadly man and feeling his steady hands all over.
No matter the misunderstandings, the fights… The crash. The burn.
Crossing the Mexican border has been a goal for Seth and Domenico for a few months, but the trip couldn’t have ended in more of a disaster. While Domenico is stuck at home, for Seth each passing day becomes more difficult. Desperate to keep his family afloat, he accepts a job offer from Los Sepultureros. The Gravediggers.
When Domenico’s need for control starts eroding their trust, Seth is sure their love can conquer all. But when Domenico rips open the wound left after the violence at the beginning of their relationship, it gushes blood all over their cozy lies and this time, there may be no way to seal it.
WARNING: Adult content. If you are easily offended, this book is not for you.
‘Guns n’ Boys’ is a gritty story of extreme violence, offensive language, abuse, and morally ambiguous protagonists. Behind the morbid facade, there is a splash of inappropriate dark humor, and a love story that will crawl under your skin.
My favourite writing duo delivered again today – another 5* winner.
All the facets in this diamond of a couple, were exposed, things that have been swept under the table, by both Seth and Dom, come crashing to the surface and it wasn’t taking any prisoners!
Yes, we were given what we would normally expect – blood spilling violence, vendetta’s, old scores still to be settled, very sizzling sexy bits, but we were also given the unexpected – Dom and Seth’s relationship and the cracks within it……..
Both have to open themselves to each other and to Mark as well, it’s the only way to cement those cracks back together to make them whole again –
“We’ll make it work. And not because it’s convenient for me or comfortable.
Even when it hurts, I’d rather become charred than not burn for you”
I always knew deep down that one day, Dom would pay the price of Seth’s violation. That day, is this book and how they deal with it to take their relationship forward. There was never any doubt that they loved each other (look at what they have been through!) but is love enough? The author(s) did an amazing job in tackling a very sensitive issue heads-on. Seeing my boys opening their hearts, being totally honest and truthful with each other, pulled at my heart strings like no other. Bravo author(s), I salute you.
And yes, they finally get to Mexico. The action and a few surprises held me riveted.
Because of so much happening in this and previous books, I forgot so many things – Seth’s ambition to run a food Blog and Dom’s own personal interpretation of the Roman Catholic religion. (When he made an offer, in true Mafia style, to a priest, it truly was an offer he couldn’t refuse!). Seth’s acceptance of how much his life had changed, breaking people’s arms and shooting them, now practically a everyday occurrence. Their sexy role-playing where Seth loves and craves to be mastered by Dom but also where bad things from their past are finally to put to rest. And then, if that’s not enough? There’s Dana with some interesting news……
Yes, it’s going to get bloody in Brazil and I for one can’t wait to see the blood letting that Dom has lined up and mastered so well.
Domenico Acerbi is a force of nature and Seth is his fire and wind – the accelerator to ignite their passion.
I cannot stress enough the importance of starting with Book 1 and work your way through the series, it will be one of your best book decisions ever.
I would like to thank the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book
