RELEASE DATE: 25th October 2016
BLURB: Nine months ago, Rowan Ward thought he had it all. Now he’s fighting to pull his shredded life together, buried in work and battling the kind of grief that destroys a man’s soul. When fires spring up around Cincinnati threatening Rowe’s friends and clients, he’s thrilled to find his old Army buddy, Noah Keegan in town. They were a hell of a team when they served together, so in-sync, it was rumored they could read each other’s minds.
Noah thought devoting his life to the Army would be enough. Then he realized he had no family and only one friend he cared about. When his enlistment was up, he found himself standing on Rowe’s doorstep, looking only for friendship but secretly hoping for more. He needs to know if their one unbelievable night together years ago wasn’t a mistake.
Caught in a dangerous game of fire and bullets, neither expects the inferno of emotion that ignites between them. One Rowe isn’t prepared to accept. One that could break Noah.
This is one of those reviews that I’ve had to really think about. There’s so much I want to tell you but, at the same time, I also do not want to spoil the delight of what is awaiting you………….
I was so excited when I received this ARC, deep down I knew that Rowe and Noah’s story would be unforgettable, even though Noah is unknown to us till now. But I was nervous as well, my expectations were set so high, as I absolutely adore this Series and kept thinking “what if it doesn’t reach that high pedestal I’ve set? What if it fails to enthral me?”
Well let’s answer that one immediately and get it out of the way.
TORCH IS AMAZING. I REPEAT. TORCH IS AMAZING!!!!!!!
The two authors, Rinda Elliott and Jocelynn Drake did an amazing job, magnificent job is maybe a better word, I just loved it.
Not only was Rowe and Noah’s storyline perfect – full of tension, very sexy with lots of feelings involved – but the whole book was too. The suspense had you hanging onto every word right from the start to the very end.
Have you ever felt when reading that the actual plot line gets in the way of the love story and is almost annoying? Well I have, but in this book, it’s as important as the love story itself, they run hand in hand together, both compelling reading.
The tension was maintained throughout, we were given twists and turns galore, you couldn’t afford to put the book down in case you missed something, compulsive reading doesn’t even begin to describe it.
I freely admit that I fell for the spell Rowe and Noah cast, but that’s not all, Lucas (this guy will never leave us in peace – you will see what I mean) features, as well as Andrej, Snow and Jude. And we also get a little bit more on Ian….
So looking forward to reading the last book in this most amazing Series but for now whilst we wait, enjoy this one. You won’t be disappointed.
****I would like to thank the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book****
