12833361_10205887579250242_1339245014_nWhat better way to get ready for Halloween than a fun, sweet and frightening short story. Yes, you heard me right. This one is not my usual contemporary love story. Its classification says it’s horror/occult/goth, but it’s still a sweet romance behind all that. With my favorite troop, best friends-to-lovers, no less.

Short stories are a peculiar category. They are extremely difficult to write well. This book grabbed my attention the first page and never let me go. I was glued to my Kindle all the way, so you’d better make sure you have nothing to do before you start reading. The writing style is amazing. It’s natural, flows beautifully, with vivid descriptions and the best conversations you can imagine. The banter between the MCs is one of the most fun I’ve read for a long time. You also get all kinds of feels from truly scary and frightening to the most tender and sweet. It all happens in one day but gives enough background story and mystery to make it a complete reading experience.

If you enjoy Halloween, are open to the idea of ghosts, or just simply love scary horror stories with some sweet love-spice thrown in the mix, this is a great, entertaining read you wouldn’t want to miss. Highly recommended!
