RELEASE DATE: 30th November 2016
BLURB: Theater professors and couple, Nicky Abbondanza and Noah Oliver, are going overboard as usual, but this time on an Alaskan cruise, where dead college theater professors are popping up everywhere from the swimming pool to the captain’s table. Further complicating matters are Nicky’s and Noah’s parents as surprise cruise passengers, and Nicky’s assignment to direct a murder mystery dinner theater show onboard ship. Nicky and Noah will need to use their drama skills to figure out who is bringing the curtain down on vacationers before it is lights out for the handsome couple. You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino’s fast-paced, ribald, edge-of-your-seat entertaining third novel in this delightful series. Curtain up and ship ahoy!
Oh Professor how I do love thee……
Everyone knows that I’m a Joe Cosentino junkie, he really cracks me up, lol. But I’m the first to admit that the withdrawal symptoms between books is excruciating, but the high I get when I finally get my next fix from his latest book is worth it (rereads are helpful and my equivalent to Methadone). And Drama Cruise gave me the ultimate all-time high.
Yes…it’s addictive. Yes….its snarky. Yes….its also bellyaching, laugh out loud humour but it’s sophisticated bellyaching humour, that only my Professor could deliver with such panache. And those little political jibes that he so effortlessly slips in? They’re so sharp and cutting, that you need a surgeon on emergency stand-by!
This all adds up to the most entertaining and enjoyable read. It definitely should be short-listed for The Lefty Awards 2017 (the Award honours the best humorous mystery during the previous year) or how about The Thurber Prize?
“the only safe ship in a storm is leadership”. Fave Wattleton.
Fave Wattleton’s above statement is not only true but also very clever. Unfortunately for the Professors on board that are dying at an alarming rate, it’s Captain James Vessel (love what you did there author) that’s in charge and has no leadership skills worthy of mention, so thank goodness the remaining “alive” Professors have their own Lifeboat…Nicky and Noah!
Yes, my boys are back! Planning to have a relaxing cruise to Alaska whilst the passengers on board can attend various Workshops and also, a Murder Mystery Gala Event. Unbeknown to them, their families also decided to sail along with them, one big happy family until marriage is mentioned….
Superb fun from start to finish, for me this Series gets stronger with every book and that’s saying something because the benchmark was set so very high with book 1.
Five Drama Excellence stars from me.
****I would like to thank the author for the opportunity and privilege of reviewing this ARC. My opinions of this book were entirely my own.****
