BLURB: When State Trooper Travis Kinslow is injured right before Thanksgiving, the only positive is that for once he won’t be working during the holidays. Since he has no family, Travis was absorbed into his best friend, Joe’s, and he considers them as good as his own. Everyone except Joe’s brother Noah. Travis has been in love with the younger man for much of his life, but he’s always kept his distance.

As an ER nurse, Noah is a caretaker by nature. When his brother’s best friend is hurt, he’s happy to help Travis while he heals. He’s only ever allowed himself to think of Travis as the next best thing to an older brother, but by the light of the Christmas tree, Noah finally sees Travis’s true feelings. And in that moment, everything changes.

When faced with opposition and a Christmas nothing like they imagined, will their hopes for the future be enough to carry them through?

Are you looking for a sweet story taking place around the holidays? Don’t look further. His Needs is the perfect read for you. This is a light, very entertaining, and heartwarming story, featuring my favorite troop, the from friends/brothers (no incest if that’s not what you like, they aren’t blood related) to lovers type of story with all the good feels and two absolutely lovable main characters.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. It is a simple story with no real angst, a great build-up and a bit of an outer conflict for good measure. We get the perfect ingredients to create a good holiday meal, I mean read. We have a hot, wounded state trooper (Travis), a loving best friend (Joe) and his entire family (which quasi-adopted him when he was a teen), and the handsome younger brother of said friend (Noah), who happens to be a nurse, and who Travis happens to have been in love with… for a long time. The writer added all the important spices to make a simple dish festive. There’s a good amount of build-up, a bit of kink, a bit of conflict, lots of great friendship and family feels, enough sizzling sex-time, and the magic of the holidays.

The writing is solid, the MCs have great chemistry and the turn of their relationship is very well portrayed. They truly are the perfect match for each other. However, I would have loved to get to know them and their personalities a bit more in depth. The story has all the great elements of a light and enjoyable holiday story, and I read it in one sitting. Hope you enjoy it as well.
