BLURB: Sexy-as-sin bounty hunter Hunter Jones lives, eats, and breathes his next case. He’s always been content to live his life on the road with no attachments and no one to answer to. Love is for other people. But when he stops in a small town for a little R&R and meets up with a fellow bounty hunter to review a case, he runs into the man of his wet dreams. Hunter isn’t ready for love, but Van turns his head and heart upside down.

Donovan “Van” Madsen has it all: a lucrative business, a close-knit family, and a best friend. But something is missing. Van always dreamed of finding the “one,” but never thought it would happen … until Hunter.

The mutual attraction is instant and intense between the two men. Neither can say goodbye.

When trouble brews and Van is kidnapped, Hunter realizes life is too short to not take what he wants. In this action-packed romance, both men’s lives are on the line and their love might not be enough to save them.

I said that 2017 was going to be my year of re-reads and finding new authors. I’ve just found my first one of the year, Dakota Storm.  And what a find – well I suppose technically, she found me…….

Dakota Storm is a newbie author, this is her debut book and I was left thinking with the thought, that if this is her first, what high quality entertainment is she going to be offering in the future? Because she is going to have to go some to beat this, I loved it.

She’d done her homework, it was very polished and had that insta-love shine that gave it the gleam of a 5* read for me. Yes, there were a couple of things that didn’t sit quite right with me – one being the excessive use of “babe” but hey, she is a new author, learning her trade, for me a little hiccup, no real biggie and certainly not enough to deter me from my 5* rating.

Van Donovan and his best friend, Matty, own their own Construction Business, with Van studying architecture at night school. The business is doing well and Van should be content but he likes the bad boys, being dominated (with a light dose of a little rough) and the one-night stands that these bad boys offer, no longer has the appeal.  He wants a bad boy but commitment as well, something he knows he is not going to get.

Hunter Jones is truly the epitome of a bad boy AND a Bounty Hunter to boot.  He likes his one-night stands (his job doesn’t allow anything else) and as he is on the-top-of-his-game both professionally and sexually, he doesn’t want to change that.

One of his business associates, Rowdy, claims that he is working undercover for the FBI and needs Hunter’s help. At the same time, he meets Van.  Instantly his gut-feeling kicks in and he knows that Van is special, honest and totally trustworthy, unlike Rowdy.  Something is going on with Rowdy and Hunter doesn’t like it one little bit.

The author then gave us an exciting and well researched storyline. I was enthralled from start to finish.  I liked how she didn’t pussyfoot around Van and Hunter’s feelings for each other, they both knew what they wanted and went for it – these two weren’t pussies but both Tigers and would kill to protect what was their’s!

Looking forward to see what else Dakota Storm has planned for us in the future.

Five WOW, WOW, KAPOW stars from me.
