BLURB: Twenty years after the Outlaw MC series, their children may not know the cost of war but they will know terror when Mars starts to reject humanity.

President of the Outlaw MC of Mars has a son—one that matches his temperament and the ability to find himself in trouble. Arie likes the notoriety a biker club offers, but being the oldest son of a founding member are big shoes to fill. When a quake makes the sleepy city on Mars rumble, Arie and his best friend Kavin are drinking in an off-limits spaceship. An unexpected kiss, followed by the quake, makes for one hell of a mistake. They take off without any ability to control the ship. Their destination? Earth.

There’s a lack of clothing, earth animals, and a growing relationship that leaves Arie confused about his future, but none of that compares to the dangers. Arie must now face a beast that nearly killed his father, and a love he never saw coming.

James Cox can do no wrong in my eyes, I love his books.  I dubbed him The Cox some time ago because he is simply King of the Cocks – he owns it.  And this book proved it beyond doubt. Now I must admit that I was a bit surprised when he announced a follow-on from his marvellous Outlaw MC Series – I wasn’t sure where he was going to take it?

Well, he’s taken it to the next generation and Earth!  And do you want to know a secret?  I think it has the potential to be even better than the first Series and that’s saying something. Of course the dad’s are still featuring, but it was kinda sad to see them getting old – but having said that, they  may be ageing, but still ready to ride to the rescue, or in this case, fly to the rescue. But this is Arie, Kavin’s and the dreaded octopus monster story. It starts with Arie and Kavin (his best friend) messing about together on Mars when the ground starts to shake and they end up on their way to Earth in the spaceship they were drinking on. Not a bad thing you might say, but Earth has long been abandoned and Arie’s father was imprisoned there and nearly died.  Plus there may be the added problem of the flesh eating octopus monster that be may lurking around and with no one left of earth, it’s  either dead or ravenously hungry…….. On a pretty uneventful landing, both Arie and Kavin are amazed and impressed with Earth.  Unlike Mars, it is luscious green and even has rain!  Its not so bad, they just have to wait to be rescued and still have some booze left, so why not have some?  And we all know what happens when we have a few drinks, maybe a little scared even and then one thing leads to another, which ends up with a kiss…. Now Arie has no problems with kissing, he does it all the time, he’s definitely a love em’ and leave em’ with no next time, kinda guy.  With girls.  Never with men and especially not his best friend.  He’s not Gay but he really enjoyed that kiss and wouldn’t mind a few more and if it leads to something else?  He wouldn’t mind that either! So while he’s waiting to be rescued and sorting out his feelings over why he feels so protective over Kavin, the octopus monster suddenly decides that it’s hungry and Arie and Kavin would be the perfect meal!

Can they survive long enough to be rescued and will Arie “man up” and admit his true feelings for Kavin? In summing up, it was sexy fun throughout.  I liked how it was told in Arie’s POV and James Cox has mastered this to perfection, the delivery and timing spot on and made it such a delight to read, so well done author. I need to read book 2 ASAP, as Mars has big problems and I think a evacuation to Earth maybe on the cards?  Don’t know.  But I want to see if I’m right. Highly, highly recommended.

5* Cox stars from me.

BLURB: Aaron Hall has never been able to remain faithful to a single woman, and for most of his life, he’s dated two women at once. Recently his girlfriend tracked him down and knocked on his door—and his live-in girlfriend answered. Now he has no girlfriend and a mortgage he can’t pay by himself.

Vinnie Rosello needs to change his life—get a better job, stop drinking all his money away, find himself a serious boyfriend… and move out of his parents’ house. Aaron needs help with his expenses, so they become housemates.

Even though Aaron harbors some misconceptions about gay men and Vinnie misses his large Italian family, both men find comfort in their friendship. It’s a good arrangement until everything between them changes

Vinnie falls in love with Aaron, and Aaron is shocked to realize he feels the same. There’s only one problem—he’s still straight. He’ll have to overcome his fear of labels in order to love the man who’s captured his heart.

leviTo say I enjoyed this story does not do right by this book. My first book by this author and I was pleased with the genuine description of emotions.

Although this is the third story of the series, I just jumped in without reading the previous books and I had no problem following the characters, I would say you can read it as a standalone as well.

Vinnie has a large Italian family, there are 9 kids growing up in the same house, including siblings and cousins. Vinnie at the age of 25 he has an Epiphany (with capital letter, you’ll see why) that he must move out, find another job and save some money. Asking Aaron to let him move in with him it went easier than he had thought. Taking a break of going out every night and sharing the bills help him save a bit of money. He is a receptionist at a company that sells toilet papers. Aaron convinces him not quite his job, instead he should ask for a promotion. After a time Vinnie has an Epoofany, he has feelings toward Aaron … but he’s straighter than an arrow.

Aaron, the player, the womanizer who has two or more girls at the same time ends up single after one of his outdoor girlfriend meets the indoor girlfriend. He has a mortgage to pay so when Vinnie ask him to let him move in with Aaron, he hesitates just a bit … Vinnie is a gay gay touchy-feely kind of guy. He hugs Aaron, kisses his cheeks when he goes to work and when they watch TV he snuggles and often he ends up spreading on his chest or his lap. Vinnie misses his big family he never had a room on his own. One night Vinnie asks Aaron to let him sleep in the same bed with Aaron…

Being a gay man I love the idea of gay-for-you. Maybe the predator in me who wants to conquer, I don’t know. Anyway, there are really few good GFY out there, mostly because the lady authors, and no offense, cannot really relate to the feelings. Renae though… I was wondering if the author is a gay man writing under a woman pen name, I asked her, she said no … hmm maybe she is a closet man 😉 … It’s genuine, it’s original and very realistic. Aaron transformation is smooth but not without minor obstacles … the sex scenes are hot and you can experience it from both parties involved.

I rate this book with an honest 5 star!

Case 1.
When their first potential…and adorable…client experiences missing time after a UFO sighting the Hard boys are all too eager to jump on his case. Will the Hard boys be able to solve what happened during his lapse of time?

lorraine Oh boy, this was fun!

Not only was this fun with a capital F, it was also frivolous, playful with an almost satirical feel about it, but the intelligence of the author shone through at the same time, illuminating the storyline and this added factor made compulsive reading.

Ian Cadena also weaved an important message into the storyline like a master craftsman and for that I salute him.

I don’t know Ian, I came across him by chance on an on-line book party which, due to time difference between the U.K. and U.S., I rarely attend – karma?   But I’ve already decided to stalk him.  I need to know the man who thought up this erotically charged storyline and his characters, Ethan and Justin (and of course the marvellous Sparky).

His inventive inspiration is extraordinary and therefore makes great reading. My jury is still out on whether he is totally insane or truly talented with a very vivid imagination? I’ll let you decide…..

The enjoyment factor alone merits 5* and I’m looking forward to see what else this author has to offer, I’m assuming it’s going to a case of Case no. 2 and so on and on, as I have a feeling that my Boys are going to have many erotic encounters in their future investigations and Ian Cadena cannot wait to share them with us.

This book is available on Amazon’s KU library if you are a member and I recommend that you check it out.

BLURB: In the small mountain town of Amorea, it’s stretching toward autumn of 1954. The memories of a world at war are fading in the face of a prosperous future. Doors are left unlocked at night, and neighbors are always there to give each other a helping hand.

The people here know certain things as fact:
Amorea is the best little town there is.
The only good Commie is a dead Commie.
The Women’s Club of Amorea runs the town with an immaculately gloved fist.
And bookstore owner Mike Frazier loves that boy down at the diner, Sean Mellgard. Why they haven’t gotten their acts together is anybody’s guess. It may be the world’s longest courtship, but no one can deny the way they look at each other.
Slow and steady wins the race, or so they say.
But something’s wrong with Mike. He hears voices in his house late at night. There are shadows crawling along the walls and great clouds of birds overhead that only he can see.
Something’s happening in Amorea. And Mike will do whatever he can to keep the man he loves.

leviThere is a genius walking amongst us, his name is TJ Klune. His latest book, Murmuration left me totally speechless. Have you ever experienced, where you are visiting a museum or gallery and where you are so amazed at something, you just don’t have the words to describe it? It stays with you, even though thoughts or words escape you, this is how I feel now……..

When I finished this book last night, I was a bit worried how I was going to review this masterpiece. This is new, this is new, we are witnessing how the author stretches his wings to fly, to soar above new fields and in doing so, bringing to us in this realm called Amorea in 1954.

So what do I tell you without giving away any spoilers? And believe me, this is a truly difficult task, so…

The story takes place in Amorea a town between mountains, with little shops, a diner and a bookstore called “Bookwarm”. The owner of the store is Mike Frazier, is he? , who has feelings for this beautiful boy Sean who works at the diner. For three years now, he has been circling around Sean. He is taking it slow. He is shy, he is confused, and he is older. Mike has events sometimes, like hearing voices, having memories of someone he doesn’t know he has hallucinations …what do you know about schizophrenia?  … Doc asks him. But he knows, deep down he knows, that this is not schizophrenia, and he will prove it! And what the hell does smartphones mean?!

Sean is a sweet boy who smiles at Mike with his just-for-Mike smile every time Mike’s walks in the diner. Mike’s walks Sean home every night, not missing one, they are friends “…and something more. Isn’t big guy? …” Yeah, Yeah. Sean has migraines, terrible migraines, but it’s ok to have migraines, everybody has migraines, this is normal in Amorea, isn’t it?

When they spend the night together for the first time, but it’s not the first night is it? , Mike decides that tomorrow, yes tomorrow, he will tell Sean that he is in love with him, there is no one else, there has never been anyone else… ever?

TJ Klune is my all-time favorite, I fell in love with his work a few month ago after reading “Wolfsong”. I went and I had all his books. I was in love with Bear and Otter and the Kid and Ox and Joe and I could go on and on… If you haven’t read his books yet, you are missing out BIG TIME. He is one of the most talented contemporary authors I can assure you. I highly, like very highly recommend you this book!

For me rating TJ Klune is always easy … How many Stars? An entire galaxy!

lorraineBrilliant!!! I loved this book so much, the angst, the plot and especially the love……all the ingredients for making the perfect book.

If you already know Shannon West’s books you are going to be blown away, if you don’t and are looking for a mpreg shape-shifter romance that is a class act, look no further, you’ve just found it and welcome to the “SAS” – Shannon’s Appreciation Society.

Mikos and Ryan gave us one hell of a sexy ride in this angst ridden storyline. A diplomatic wedding has been arranged to stop the ravaging war. However, the bride does a runner and the groom’s Omak, Blake steps in (I loved his character) as quick as a flash, with an “oh well, we’ll take her brother instead” comment, that leaves all parties reeling, especially the groom and groom to be – the chase was on and we all know how tigers love to chase their prey!

And this particular Tyger burned bright alright, Ryan never stood a chance, the tiger in the Tygerian, became a man-eater and oh boy, was he hungry!

The author did well in filling in the background of the Tygerian’s and how their “Nobyo’s” fitted in with that society with their genetic altered engineering allowing them to bear the Tygerian children, this was explained simply but exceptionally well, unlike some other books that I have read with a mpreg theme line.

Not everyone is happy though with this alliance and the war ending, especially the ARes (Alliance Resistance) and they intend to cause as much havoc as possible to ensure that the Treaty fails. No more spoilers, but let’s just say that it causes major problems between Mikos and Ryan who were off to a turbulent start to begin with and with all the misunderstandings, lack of trust, it all adds up to a great sexy read.

This is the first book of a new series and as I’ve already said, I fell in love with the world Shannon West created, it has the HEA that is mandatory in the books that I read and I want more, especially Blake’s story (hint, hint author).

Five burning bright stars from me.

“Son, are you all right? Your highness…Consort Blake, please! Put a stop to this now—my son is injured!”

“I’m fine, Father,” Ryan said, embarrassed and trying to gently push him off.

Your son is injured?” the king’s consort said, his eyebrows lifting in outrage. “What about my son? Your son indeed!”

Then as the words sunk in, Blake suddenly straightened up and tilted his head, one eyebrow quirking upward. “Did you say your son?”

“Yes, of course he is! And your son just attacked him!” the consul said, casting a wounded, outraged look back over his shoulder.

Blake smiled then and rubbed his hands together, as eager as a cat who’d just spied a big bowl of tasty cream. “You mean to tell me this young man… Your unmarried son? Well, why didn’t you say so? Who needs the daughter? This one will do fine. In fact, he’ll do even better!” He stepped forward and laid a hand on Prince Mikos’s arm. “Stop playing with him, Miki. You’ll have plenty of time to do that after the wedding. This young man,” he said, gesturing grandly toward Ryan, “is your new mate and royal consort.” He got a speculative look in his eye. “Maybe even the bearer of your children.”

TITLE: Dick, it’s what’s for dinner
AUTHOR: James Cox
PUBLISHER: Evernight Publishing
GENRE: erotic sci-fi
PRICE: $ 3,81 e-book on Amazon
LENGHT: 104 pages
RELEASE DATE: 20th October  2015

BLURB: A criminal, a pilot, and an aspiring chef dance in a stripper bar at the center of the universe…

Six months on a military ship with my two friends, cooking food for the crew in nothing but skimpy shorts, what could possibly go wrong? Let’s see, our friendship starts to turn sexual. We agree to cook naked for extra money. One friend turns out to be a thief, the other is facing his shyness to admit he loves me, and atop all that, we’re thrust into the middle of a war. I was a dreamer trying to conquer my wish of being a chef, not some space fighter. How were we going to survive in combat conditions?

My best advice: Watch out for boiling water while cooking naked on a spaceship. Oh, and once in a while, play the hero.

Why am I never offered a menu with a blatant offering like that? Hmmmmm…….need to make a note to widen my horizons on eating venue’s!

What a title! This is most probably the only author that I am aware of, that has the balls to not only think up something as outrageous as this, but also to have the audacity to actually use it!………James Cox, you have my respect.

And his outrageousness doesn’t just stop at the title, we have naked dancing men (OK, some may say that’s pretty norm for a James Cox book), but we also have a little chef’s hat perched on a rather large appendage – I kid you not.

As you may have already gathered from reading the blurb, which covers the storyline amazingly well, this is a erotic sci-fi romp. Unlike some sci-fi, it’s delivered in a simple, easy style that will appeal to most, even non sci-fi readers, so please don’t be put off with the sci-fi label.

The story is told from Vern’s POV. He works in a bar, as a stripper cum waiter (sorry, that should read…come waiter, or maybe not (lol)).  The money he earns pays for finishing his training in becoming a Chef and he works the floor with his two best friends.  It’s a means to an end, the play between the three of them, is exactly that.  Just play.  Or is it?  I won’t give any spoilers but I have to say, that it leads to one of the hottest ménage scenes that I have ever read and they were fun as well.  The author must have had as much fun in writing them as I had in reading them!

I so enjoyed this sexy romp, so much so, it’s most probably my favourite read from this author so far. I loved it.

Five big, fat, juicy dick stars from me.

BLURB: The Intergalactic Star Pilot Academy has accepted Thierry Leroux into the elite class of sky year 2231. But the academy comes with a hefty price tag, and there’s no way he, a poor Sythe orphan, has the credits the academy requires. Thierry’s brother, Corbin, a high-class companion, suggests Thierry sell his virginity for the cost of tuition. It seems like a ridiculous idea, but it may be Thierry’s only shot, so Thierry asks Corbin to arrange a meeting on the pleasure planet of Wish.

On Wish, Thierry meets Corbin’s boss, Monroe, and they agree to auction off Thierry’s virginity. Thierry is grateful to the masked buyer he knows only as “Dragonfly,” and Dragonfly is gentle, making Thierry’s first time a good memory. When Dragonfly requests to see him again, and pay for the pleasure, Thierry returns to Wish. But in this game, falling in love is dangerous for the heart, and Thierry might not like the man behind the mask.

lorraineWhen love takes a grip, nothing matters – age, wealth, size or orientation, it’s all consuming and this book proves that beyond a doubt.
Caitlin Ricci is a new author for me and when I read the blurb, I knew I would have to read it, it fired my imagination!and the cover? beautiful and so perfect for the book. I try not to do spoilers, but it’s so hard with this book as the blurb covers the storyline so well, but I will give you a little insight –
Thierry and his older brother, Corbin, only have each other. Ever since he was small, Thierry dreams of becoming an off-world pilot, it’s only a dream because they could never afford the fees to join the Academy. Corbin works as a aspasian in a club on a pleasure planet for the notorious Monroe. They come up with the plan of selling Thierry’s virginity to the highest bidder – it’s the only way to get to the Academy. Monroe arranges the details.
The highest bidder wears a mask and Thierry has no idea of who he is, the only identifiable mark? a Dragonfly tattoo. From that night on, Thierry refers to him as the Dragonfly. Their night was supposed to be a one-off gig, however, this is a love story…
There was a lot I liked about this book and a few things I didn’t – I thought the author lost a great opportunity when Corbin didn’t talk Thierry through what was to be expected? Corbin works (and is very good at it), in the Pleasure Industry, who better to talk and prepare him? there was times when I wanted to knock Dragonfly and Thierry’s heads together – who was the so-called immature boy here? but there were other things I liked as well – the storyline, the simple way the author explained the sci-fi elements and the secrecy over Dragonfly, yes I guessed who it was, but the waiting to see if I was right… and the way she handled the ending was excellent, as I said, love is love!
